It is a surprising fact that 100% of the electrical power (energy) is converted to heat energy during the Compression process In an Air compressor & all the heat energy goes as a waste if not used judicially. In a typical compression system, the theoretical recoverable heat is 96% of the overall electrical energy consumption. It consists of heat dissipated in the oil cooler (78%) the air cooler (13%) and the heat radiated from the drive Motor (5%). The rest 4% heat cannot be recovered since 2% radiates through the canopy and the other 2% vents inside the canopy.

Keeping in mind the effects of Global warming in the present environment. ELGi has come up with a system where in 96% of the waste heat generated from the compressor can be utilized for heating air (space) and heating water. The Alocrom aluminum treatment is a special feature of all ELGi Compressor Air Filter die-cast filter housings. This treatment ensures there is no corrosion and no carryover of corroded particles into the airline, which can otherwise cause blockades in sophisticated parts.

These air filters are divided into three types:

• TYPE PF (PreFilter): High-efficiency General Purpose Protection, For the removal of particles down to 1 micron including coalesced liquid water and oil, providing a maximum remaining oil aerosol content of 0.5 mg/m3@ 21°C.

• TYPE FF (Fine Filter): High-Efficiency Oil Removal Filtration, For the removal of particles down to 0.01 micron including water and oil aerosols, providing a maximum remaining oil aerosol content of 0.01 mg/m3@ 21cC. (Precede type FF with type PF)

• TYPE CF (Carbon Filter): Activated Carbon Filtration, For the removal of oil vapour and hydrocarbon odour giving a maximum remaining oil content of <0.003 mg/m3 (<0.003 ppm) (excluding methane) @ 21°C. (Precede type CF with type FF & PF).
